Merry Christmas 2007!

We hope you've had a great year.  2007 went by faster for us than any year to date.  We feel truly blessed by the gifts God has bestowed upon us.

Early this year, we completed the deck and landscaping in our backyard.  This came in especially useful on the 4th of July when we had several friends and relatives over and watched the fireworks from our deck.  We were also delighted to spend time with our beautiful and perfect niece Paige (and her parents, of course).

In May we took a three week vacation to Europe.  The highlights included visits to Prague and Budapest as well as a Mediterranean cruise.  In Budapest, we met up with Ed's parents (who had just taken a cruise of their own) and several of Ed's relatives.  For the full scoop, click HERE.

In July we had an addition to our family.  Essie is our new kitty who was about 3 months old when we adopted her.  She is a gray tabby with a very playful and sweet personality.

In August we had a fun time visiting with friends on a house boat on Lake Don Pedro, and we both painfully realized that it had been a long time since we thought we could water-ski.

Ed’s mom and dad traveled a lot in 2007.  Redlands was one of their take-off points, and we were thrilled to have them as houseguests during parts of September and October.

This year, we had a fine time celebrating not only our 8th anniversary, but also Gina's grandparents' 60th anniversary and Ed's parents' 40th anniversary.

Sadness touched our lives this year with the loss of Gina’s great-aunt Evelyn Cabreira and Ed’s great-uncle Clif Royal.  They are missed and remembered with much love.

For Thanksgiving we went to Pasco, WA and visited with Gina's relatives, surprising Gina’s mom and Jeanine by showing up a day early.  It is always special to have the opportunity to visit with them.

We plan to complete the year playing for various festive occasions with bands, orchestras and other ensembles.  Gina is now playing percussion as much as or more than the violin.  Ed still only has to worry about playing the tuba.

We are both still working at Kaiser Permanente, Gina at Fontana and Ed at Riverside.  Gina has also discovered the addiction of MySpace and would be happy to hook up with you through that venue as well.

We’re looking forward to another cozy Christmas at home with Gina’s dad.  We wish you a joyous holiday season, good health, and blessings for the year ahead.

Love,
Ed and Gina
